Mission/Vision
Davy Jane’s Bluejackets is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established to support military survivors of sexual violence. We take current and prior service members as well as reservists, who were assaulted during their service, on non-clinical, non-religious outdoor focused nature retreats in Hawaii.
Through community and through nature, our goal is to help survivors find healing and peace within their minds and bodies to move forward from the pain of their assault.
Traditional therapy and/or medication isn’t right for everyone, and for others, it simply isn’t enough. The healing properties of the ocean, sunshine, and nature however, cannot be overstated. We’re here to supplement a survivor’s treatment and healing journey, and to pick up where TriCare left off (or perhaps where it never started).

Flying a group of survivors to Hawaii is expensive! As is paying for their lodging, food, and instructor fees (for all the activities). Our goal is to cover their costs, because they deserve this trip. Plus we want them to be able to focus on healing, not money.
But we need all the help we can get! And that’s where you come in.

How much does it cost to attend a retreat?
All you need to pay for is your flight to one of the major airport hubs in California, and we will cover your flight to Hawaii from there! We will also cover your lodging, transportation, daily activities, and 2 meals per day. Any extra snacks/meals/souvenirs etc. will be out of pocket.
What happens on these retreats? What activities would I be doing?
If I am not very fit, or not interested in rigorous athletic activities, will I still enjoy my time on this retreat?
Yes! We will always have options to choose from in terms of how you spend your time on the retreats.
I want to help during the retreats. Can I teach a class or host an activity for your retreats?
