Who is eligible to join
a retreat?
-
Active duty, reservists, veterans, or prior service members from any branch are welcome.
-
Members who have experienced sexual assault while in service are welcome to attend. Unfortunately our retreats are not open to survivors of sexual harassment, stalking, or non-sexual physical violence at this time.
-
Any military connected survivor 17+ is welcome!
-
Doesn’t matter what you have, TriCare or not, the cost of the retreat is covered by Davy Jane’s. We will not be billing your insurance.
The only cost you will incur is your transportation to the outbound airport in California and transportation home from that same California airport.
-
Unfortunately attendees cannot bring children, spouses, or significant others with them on the retreats.
-
We do not hold mixed gender retreats. Our first retreat will be for women (both cis and trans) as well as nonbinary individuals. We hope to offer retreats to men in the future as well.
-
These non-clinical retreats are not a substitute for inpatient or outpatient mental health treatment, and are not designed to treat those in crisis. Only survivors whose assaults have occurred at least 6 months prior are eligible to attend a retreat.
-
In order to sign up, you will need to provide a copy of your DD2910, CG6095, police report, VA disability paperwork citing an MST diagnosis, or note from a doctor citing treatment for mental health conditions relating or connected to a sexual assault incident.
