Anna founded Davy Jane’s Bluejackets in 2023 after a life changing trip to Hawaii (see more in the “Background” section of the website). She has served as a Sexual Assault Response Coordinator (SARC) for the US Navy and US Coast Guard’s Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Programs (SAPR) where she started in 2017. This program is what allowed her the good fortune of meeting all of the other board members who were willing to help her on this journey! Anna has spent her entire career working with and assisting sexual assault victims in some capacity (starting as a volunteer victim advocate at a local rape crisis center in San Diego back in 2014) and wanted a way to do more for her clients than what the organizations she worked for were able to provide. She’s a total workaholic and has no idea how to sit still, so starting a non-profit while working full time seemed right up her alley. When not typing bios at 1am, you can find her cuddling her dog children Franklin and Tugg, planning her next trip to Disneyland, or hiding from her office while sitting in the sunshine. Anna also wrote this entire website, and is a social worker by trade, not a web designer, so she apologizes for any misspellings or broken web links.
